Ebikes Downings is a family-run business located in the centre of the Downings village on the Wild Atlantic Way and at the start – finish of the Atlantic Drive on the Rosguill Peninsula, home to Melmore Head and Murder Hole beach. Its coastal position places it next to The Donegal Boardwalk Resort, Doe Castle, The Glen Lake and the Harry Blaney Bridge connecting Carrigart and Fanad Peninsula, the Fanad Light House and Portsalon.

Do we need to make a reservation in advance?
We recommend booking in advance through our website www.ebikesdownings.com or by contacting us directly via info@ebikesdowninbgs.com so we can have your e-bike ready for you at your allocated time.
What is included with the e-bike hire?
All e-bike hire includes: e-bikes fitted to your size, helmet, high-viz vest and locks on request. We also discuss and assist with route planning.
Can I cancel or change my e-Bike Downings booking?
We accommodate cancellations and change of bookings up to 24 hours before your booking time. Please call or email us and we will refund any deposit paid if you cancel up to 24 hours before your booked time. Any cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled collection will be forfeited.
Is there a minimum age for the bike hire?
All our e-bikes are adult size frames, there isn’t an age limit, we consider the rider’s confidence, ability to ride an e-bike and how comfortable they are on the –bike before they commence the rental.
What about group bookings?
Please call or email us to make bookings for large or small groups, we would be delighted to assist you with making bookings for team building activities, a gathering of friends, or an outing for your social club or business organisation.
How much does it cost to hire a bike?
We rent our e-bikes at the following rates per e-bike.
• €20 for up to 2 hours.
• €30 for up to 4 hours / half-day.
• €40 for a full day.
